With many people circulating and completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, it was not long until members of our own Horizon Innovations team were challenged. Our assistant manager, Chris, along with many others in the office, were challenged by family and friends. Because of this, the entire office came together and decided to do a company-wide Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS.
On Friday August 22nd, our leaders joined together in their suits and ties and proceeded to dump buckets of ice water over their heads for the cause. Together, the Horizon Innovations team raised over $350. While this substitution does not compare to the suffering of those with the disease, we were honored to be a part of raising awareness for this organization. Our team passed on the challenge to Brickstone, another office out in Boise, Idaho. We hope that they will have the drive to raise more funds and awareness for the foundation as well. Because of the Ice Bucket Challenge, the ALS Association has raised over $90 million and Horizon Innovations is proud to say that we contributed to the research of effective treatments in hopes to find a cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease.
