As part of that process, the Horizon Innovations team has the ability to earn promotions that serve as milestones in their career. Joey, who joined the team in July, has become a core part of Horizon Innovations training and development team. Not only has he established himself as a go to in the company, Joey has earned several promotions, including his most recent one. We are proud to announce that Joey has earned his promotion to Corporate Senior Trainer. This means that Joey has aided several people in the company to their own promotions to Corporate Trainer and has also developed a high performing sales team. It is the step right before one earns their promotion to Assistant Manager, where they learn back office management and client management.

Before joining the Horizon Innovations team, Joey was working at a local winery in a management position that he had advanced into. He felt that he no further opportunity there and started looking for something new. Horizon Innovations gave Joey a light at the end of the tunnel. The company didn’t just offer him a job, we offered him a career that he could enjoy for the rest of his life. There is always opportunity on the table, it just depends on who is going to put the work in and take advantage of what is presented to them.

Joey plans to use his career to continue to develop his team, to truly help people. He has learned how to analyze his team’s learning styles and skills so he can adjust his training and teaching techniques to fit their needs and best benefit them. He likes that Horizon Innovations has helped him learn how to properly conduct and prepare himself in a professional setting and that the team at Horizon Innovations was able to quickly and deeply connect with him, getting him out his comfort zone.

His greatest reflection at the company so far that will stick with him for his entire career is when his first Account Manager that he was responsible for training, Thiago, came to him and said, “The reason I love this business is because every day is game day.” Both Thiago and Joey played collegiate athletics, so this statement really hit. Everything is different on game day, the way you dress, get out of bed, brush your teeth, and your entire outlook on the day. Joey thinks of this moment as a turning point in his career at Horizon Innovations.

Every business has their own set of beliefs and values that they follow in their day to day work activities. The values set in place by any business are what sits at the core of their performance, and they affect every aspect of the enterprise. At Horizon Innovations, we have our own set of values that we believe have molded us into the successful consulting firm that we are today. These include but are not limited to:

These key values keep us grounded and form our identity as Horizon Innovations.

The first value that is of importance to us is having the qualities of integrity and honesty. These two qualities go hand-in-hand with one another, and everyone within our office has a firm grasp of these concepts. It is always important to us to have an honest form of communication between everyone here. Whether it be concerns or compliments, everyone is always willing to help in any situation. Keeping an open and one hundred percent honest flow of communication is key to our company.

Second, we stand firmly by the notion that the best leaders stem from being the best students. The leaders of Horizon Innovations are always eager and willing to learn more. Any new information that can be obtained in this business can do nothing but aid in their advancement through the company. Being aware of that fact gives them a leg up on the competition.

Leading others only by example is the third value that dictates our performance. Not everyone is capable of learning the exact same way, and the leaders here are aware of that fact. After all, it is one thing to tell someone how to do something, and it is another thing entirely to teach someone through your actions. Horizon Innovations leads by example to set the standard of our performance as a business.

Developing an entrepreneurial mindset is a must within our company. It is what helps our leaders take calculated risks and accept the challenges that they must face. Entrepreneurship is all about perspective, and having that mindset is one of the quintessential aspects that can excel you through our company.

Our fifth value that we abide by within our company is stressed on a daily basis. Keeping ourselves and others accountable within the office is definitely important. Accountability is best friends with honesty, and they both reflect our production. Horizon Innovations is as successful as it has ever been, and that fact stems from our constant flow of feedback to one another.

The sixth value is fairly self-explanatory: success is best achieved through hard work. Every Horizon Innovations team member put one hundred and ten percent into every challenge and responsibility that arrises. Dedication and hard work will improve any work environment, including our own.

We are a people helping people business, and working together with proper communication is one of the most important aspect of our office. Teamwork is created through great relationships both in the office and outside the office. This is where the importance of the Horizon Innovations’ Office Nights are seen with full force. When our entire team has good relationships with one another, it helps us work together in such a way that allows us to produce above the competition.

Helping others achieve their goals is the final value that Horizon Innovations strives for. It is ultimately the end result of following the other seven values that we uphold.
